It has been proven that being amongst trees is a natural restorative. Or trophorestorative, in my opinion! The sheer sight of them allows our parasympathetic nervous system to take a deep exhale, calming the entire body and making us more relaxed. If you take a look at our nervous system; it closely resembles a tree. I find that absolutely fascinating.
This body oil is an honoring of the evergreens and coniferous trees that grow and flourish in the northeast woods. When the deciduous trees all shed their leaves in the autumn, evergreens and confers keep their green shining needles and branches. Always reminding us to stay resilient and strong amidst the seasonal shifts.
The main ingredients in this seasonal blend is eastern hemlock ( Tsuga canadensis ) naturally fallen needles, branches, and resin infused in jojoba oil. Eastern Hemlock is native to eastern north america. We also infused Eastern White Pine ( Pinus Strobus ) naturally fallen needles, branches, and resin, White Cedar leaf, and norwegian spruce. All in bases of jojoba and sunflower oil. With very light essential oils of black spruce, Douglas Fir, and Sweet Orange.
The Ritual: After Dry Brushing, dispense some of the body oil and massage it into your skin and joints in circular motions. Imagine yourself safe and supported by the energetics of the forest. Use as a daily body oiling practice or as a massage oil.
